mountain

Emily came over to Paul's Park Street house on Friday evening for the weekend. While the intention was to take a hike on Saturday the whole time, the Yonah Mountain location was not decided until Saturday morning. Paul saw an interesting landmark on Google Earth's "Gallery" and the rest is history. This hike was fun (and steep). Paul and Emily talked with a Park usage surveyer, Rachel, at the base of the mountain. Paul talked about future employment with her company since there are no definite plans after Paul's planned graduation in a few months.

While ascending we talked with some rock climbers who were very patient explaining their hobby to us. It looked like a lot of fun.

At the top we ate lunch (peanut butter sandwiches, prunes, strawberries) and catnapped on a rock. Crazy 100.9 was audible in stereo on the Sangean portable radio. Reception was good if the radio was positioned correctly.
